Keep your pieces out of pools and hot tubs, as the chemicals will oxidize your metals and speed up tarnishing. It's also a good idea to put your jewelry on last, after perfume and lotion.

Sterling will naturally tarnish over time, and that's okay. The way it wears and ages is part of its beauty. I wear mine every single day — living in Florida I've learned the pool and hot tub are where we draw the line, but everything else is fair game.
